In my last blog post we talked about the 15 most dangerous chemicals in your bathroom products. So tell me what can you pull from this list? It is mission critical that you swap out your personal care products. The number one poison in your home is actually laundry soap, because you are washing them in your home; and outgassing as the clothes sit in your closet all night and you breathe in the toxic fumes. The number two poison is in personal care products. A third of the ingredients on the top 15 dangerous chemicals list may cause cancer or hormone disruptions. 1 in 3 men and 1 in 5 women will have cancer by the age of 60. The American Cancer Society says only 5 percent of cases are genetic. That means we have to get to a point where we stop saying “everything is going to kill me”, and start reading labels. Something as simple as snagging one shampoo over another could have life changing repercussions for you and your family.

Have you ever taken the time to look at the products in your home and the ingredients they contain? Let’s talk about the chemicals found in most hair care products.
Here are a list of the 15 most dangerous chemicals commonly found, and what they do to your body.
You are the gatekeeper of your home. It is up to you to decide what you will allow to come into it.
What are enzymes? They are a type of protein found within a cell. They create chemical reactions in the body to help support life. They perform very important tasks which include building muscle, destroying toxins and breaking down food particles during digestion.
An enzyme’s shape is tied to its function. Heat, disease, or harsh chemical conditions can damage enzymes and change their shape. When this happens, an enzyme doesn’t work anymore. This affects the body processes the enzyme helped support.

I try to do this twice a day because I think it has great benefits for oral health.
What is oil pulling?
Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic dental treatment that apparently dates back about 3,000 years. It basically involves swishing a small amount of oil in your mouth for a short time, then spitting it out. The idea is that the oil pulls out bacteria and other toxins that hide within your mouth.

Did you know that your health begins in your gut? If your gut isn’t healthy you are not healthy. Poor gut health can cause so many health issues. Numerous studies in the past few decades have shown that there is a link between gut health and the immune system, mood, mental health, autoimmune diseases, endocrine disorders, skin conditions, and cancer.
We have good bacteria in our gut, what exactly are gut bacteria and what do they do? Gut bacteria are types of microorganisms that live within the human digestive system alongside other tiny organisms like fungi and viruses. Together, they form the "microbiome".
