I want to take you through the systems of the body and let you know what I use to support them for myself and my family. Remember I am not a doctor and any information I share is just from my personal use and the things I have researched. I am not here to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease. Also each of us is different so what works for me may not work the same for someone else. I encourage you to research for yourself to find what each oil can do. If you are on my team, check out our team page Essential Fun team on Facebook for a link to our Usage group where you will find great information on oil usage.
The first system, and the one I feel needs a lot of support right now is our immune system. If I had to pick one oil or supplement to have for my immune system it would be Thieves Vitality!  We use this a ton through the winter, all year really!  It goes in each of our diffusers every night. I also rub it on our feet if I think any of us need extra support. I have also been known to use the Vitality oil under my tongue.  Even my youngest who is 12 puts it under his tongue at times. His favorite way to take it is in his Ningxia though. I can’t stress enough how important I think this Oil is, but you have to use it and daily. I know this from experience, it does you no good to have it sitting on the counter. More times than once in the past I have had to kick myself for not using it consistently. I tell my self you must be proactive not reactive.
That’s my first line of defense.
I also keep RC on hand as it helps create the feeling of normal clear breathing and creates a refreshing respiratory experience when applied topically. I rub it right on my chest. You can also make shower discs for your shower and add RC.  Very soothing!  I will share the recipe.
Lemon Vitality is a great oil also, for my kids I make tea with Thieves Vitality and Lemon Vitality and honey. Soothing when it goes down, add some peppermint vitality for digestive support. But remember it is very strong with peppermint added and a child may not take to it well!
Another important oil and one we used just last night on my youngest is Digize Vitality . Rub it directly on your tummy. I like to go around the belly button. I normally do this one neat, meaning I don’t use a carrier oil, last night John complained that it burned so I rubbed coconut oil on top of it. There is also something about doing it clockwise, don’t ask me why I have no idea. For myself I have taken the Vitality under the tongue!  Yucky taste but it does the trick. When John got up he also wanted multigreens, Ningxia, Mindwise, Vitamin C and thieves on his feet so we did it all!  He opens the multi greens, he doesn’t do well with pills, and puts it in his Ningxia. He woke up this morning ready for school! Yay, I call that a win for immune support!
Since I mentioned Vitamin C we will talk about it next. We really should take this daily but since I have too many other things I want every month we just use it when we need extra support.
Inner Defense is one of the Supplements that Young Living carries and I keep it on hand through the winter. One bottle should last but it also depends on how much our immune system has to protect us. I use it only when we really need the extra support. For the kids I poke a hole in the soft gel capsule, squeeze it out and add it to a couple tablespoons of coconut oil. I then rub it up their spine and on the bottom of their feet.
The last but not least of our immune supporters is Ningxia Red!  I love, love this stuff. I started using this before I added any other supplements because I think it packs the most punch and is great for overall support.
If you are just beginning I don’t want you to feel overwhelmed and think you need all of the things I mentioned right now. I have been using the oils for four years and have added these over time. That’s why I mentioned Thieves first, it is the one I consider the most beneficial and a great place to start!  Your kit also contains RC, Lemon, Peppermint, and Digize so you have an excellent immune support in those oils!  Just remember consistency is the key!
I hope this helps you all to stay above the wellness line!  My next blog will contain some recipes for to use these oils!
Happy oiling,
Anna
