Happy Valentines everyone! How do you celebrate Valentines Day? We have no real plans today because of it being Ash Wednesday and we have church tonight. I read this great blog post from an Instagram friend and it has inspired me to celebrate! I use to make a very nice dinner using our fine wedding china, because I have it might as well use it, right! So decided to plan a dinner on Friday. I have a turkey in the freezer that needs cooked. Also one of my daughters reminded me yesterday that I hadn’t used my nice china in forever. I replied “ya it’s a lot of work!” So time to “break” out, not literally, my dishes and plan a nice dinner! Maybe candlelight also! Or I could use my Desert Mist Diffuser with the candlelight setting😃. Add some Stress Away, maybe some Jasmine! Now I’m getting excited😆. I do love to fix a beautiful table with yummy food, it’s just tons of work! I will take pics and share with you all!
I would love to hear your plans for the day!
BTW Rose Oil is on sale from today until the 16th! This oil is on my wish list! Did you know?~ Rose oil is amazing!!!
It takes 10,000 roses to fill a single 5ml bottle (about the size of your thumb)!
- It also takes 60 roses to create a single drop of Rose oil. That’s just under 5 dozen roses!
It is extraordinary to think of how many roses it takes to make a single drop of this magnificent oil. Imagine receiving 5 dozen roses from your beloved, can you visualize the space it would take up in your living room?
Here are some more astonishing visuals…
– 10,000 roses is equal to 833 dozen roses.
Can you visualize that in your living room? Oh the fragrance!
Happy oiling,
Anna

I learn so much from talking with others about how they use their oils. I would love to hear from all of you, what are some of your favorites? What have you tried that you just love and don’t know how you went so long without it?
I have so many favorites! It mostly depends what I am using them for. I love Northern Lights Black Spruce, and Exodus II just because smelling them makes me happy!😃. What are they for? No idea! I’ve never researched them.
My fave in the diffuser is Peppermint. Reminds me of Peppermint candy! I normally mix others with it just to get a change, but that Peppermint is the “BOMB”!
For daily support I have four that I cannot go without! Endoflex Vitality, Progessence Plus, Aroma Life, and Joy. I never miss a day of putting Joy over my heart❤️. It has taken some time for the smell to grow on me, not a fan of the floral scents. I also use Lemon Vitality, Grapefruit vitality, and Slique Essence in my water every day! Research limonene if you want to know why!
If I had to choose one Oil I could not go without it would have to be Thieves! This family thrives with Thieves. It goes in everyone’s diffusers every night, we add thieves vitality to our Ningxia, topically where needed. Thieves is my all time must have!
How about you? What oils do you love? Which one could you not do without? How about your favorite smell? I would love to hear about them!
Happy oiling,
Anna
Do you struggle with sleep? Sleep is such an important part of our health. Without it our bodies cannot recuperate from whatever we put it through. I don’t know about you but if I don’t get enough sleep I am not pleasant to be around!
Have you tried anything to help you sleep? Thanks to my friend Deanne I finally found my “magic” combo! I add these three oils to my diffuser, plus thieves of course, and before I know it I cannot keep my eyes open. My combo is 2 drops each of Bergamot, Lavender, and Patchouli.
I tried many other oils in my quest for the perfect sleep combo. Lavender works for many, I have made a roller with lavender and cedar wood and gave them away with great feed back. Vetiver is another one I tried and it did help, I put it on my temples. Other great sleep oils are Tranquil, Ruta Vala, and Valor. The key here is consistency, remember that post? Ya I am not always good at being consistent. Sometimes an oil can work immediately, other times it takes our bodies a while to adjust to the benefits.
If you are just starting out I would suggest you start with Lavender, in your diffuser and on the bottom of your feet. Same with Stress Away. Frankincense also helps for some.
I hope you find the oil or oils that work for you. If you have a combo that works I would love to hear about it! I learn so much from others and what works for them.
Good luck and happy oiling,
Anna
Shower discs
- 1 1/2 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup water
- Essential oils of choice.
Mix together baking soda and water. Pour into silicone molds, I have also used cupcake liners. Let sit until they are set up. You can put them in the freezer if you are in a hurry. Store in an airtight container. When you are ready to use them add a few drops of essential oil. My faves for winter are eucalyptus radiata and RC. You could add peppermint also. A nice choice for relaxation is orange and lavender. Drop in the bottom of the shower and enjoy the soothing aroma as the steam carries it throughout your shower.
Roller blends
- 10 ml roller bottles
- Carrier oil, I like fractionated coconut oil or grape seed oil.
- Essential oils of choice, for wellness I use thieves and lemon
Add 6 drops of thieves Essential oil and 4 drops Lemon Essential oil, top with carrier oil. Roll on bottoms of feet before bed and before leaving the house.
Diffuser blends
3 drops thieves
2 drops peppermint
3 drops thieves
2 drops RC
3 drops thieves
2 drops lemon
How about a hot cup of water with a few drops eucalyptus oil, breathe deeply and enjoy the soothing aroma. Discard when done.
I also like to make everyone a cup of tea with a few drops thieves vitality and lemon vitality with a teaspoon of honey. So soothing😁
Another nice soothing winter time Essential is a chest rub. I like eucalyptus, lavender, RC, anything that is soothing to you, add 5 to 6 drops to some coconut oil.
Hope you enjoy these winter wellness recipes.
Happy oiling,
Anna
I want to take you through the systems of the body and let you know what I use to support them for myself and my family. Remember I am not a doctor and any information I share is just from my personal use and the things I have researched. I am not here to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease. Also each of us is different so what works for me may not work the same for someone else. I encourage you to research for yourself to find what each oil can do. If you are on my team, check out our team page Essential Fun team on Facebook for a link to our Usage group where you will find great information on oil usage.
The first system, and the one I feel needs a lot of support right now is our immune system. If I had to pick one oil or supplement to have for my immune system it would be Thieves Vitality! We use this a ton through the winter, all year really! It goes in each of our diffusers every night. I also rub it on our feet if I think any of us need extra support. I have also been known to use the Vitality oil under my tongue. Even my youngest who is 12 puts it under his tongue at times. His favorite way to take it is in his Ningxia though. I can’t stress enough how important I think this Oil is, but you have to use it and daily. I know this from experience, it does you no good to have it sitting on the counter. More times than once in the past I have had to kick myself for not using it consistently. I tell my self you must be proactive not reactive.
That’s my first line of defense.

I also keep RC on hand as it helps create the feeling of normal clear breathing and creates a refreshing respiratory experience when applied topically. I rub it right on my chest. You can also make shower discs for your shower and add RC. Very soothing! I will share the recipe.
Lemon Vitality is a great oil also, for my kids I make tea with Thieves Vitality and Lemon Vitality and honey. Soothing when it goes down, add some peppermint vitality for digestive support. But remember it is very strong with peppermint added and a child may not take to it well!
Another important oil and one we used just last night on my youngest is Digize Vitality . Rub it directly on your tummy. I like to go around the belly button. I normally do this one neat, meaning I don’t use a carrier oil, last night John complained that it burned so I rubbed coconut oil on top of it. There is also something about doing it clockwise, don’t ask me why I have no idea. For myself I have taken the Vitality under the tongue! Yucky taste but it does the trick. When John got up he also wanted multigreens, Ningxia, Mindwise, Vitamin C and thieves on his feet so we did it all! He opens the multi greens, he doesn’t do well with pills, and puts it in his Ningxia. He woke up this morning ready for school! Yay, I call that a win for immune support!
Since I mentioned Vitamin C we will talk about it next. We really should take this daily but since I have too many other things I want every month we just use it when we need extra support.
Inner Defense is one of the Supplements that Young Living carries and I keep it on hand through the winter. One bottle should last but it also depends on how much our immune system has to protect us. I use it only when we really need the extra support. For the kids I poke a hole in the soft gel capsule, squeeze it out and add it to a couple tablespoons of coconut oil. I then rub it up their spine and on the bottom of their feet.
The last but not least of our immune supporters is Ningxia Red! I love, love this stuff. I started using this before I added any other supplements because I think it packs the most punch and is great for overall support.
If you are just beginning I don’t want you to feel overwhelmed and think you need all of the things I mentioned right now. I have been using the oils for four years and have added these over time. That’s why I mentioned Thieves first, it is the one I consider the most beneficial and a great place to start! Your kit also contains RC, Lemon, Peppermint, and Digize so you have an excellent immune support in those oils! Just remember consistency is the key!
I hope this helps you all to stay above the wellness line! My next blog will contain some recipes for to use these oils!

Anna
